DIY Jewelry - with items you likely already have on hand

by Sarah Shapiro |

We were looking for some fun projects to do at home. We happen to have lots of craft supplies always handy, but we also want to share ideas in case you don't have a craft closet like ours!

  • Perler Beads
  • String - we used elastic but you can also use fishing line, ribbons from wrapping gifts (recycled is even better) or regular floss. Time to get crafty!
  • Scissors

For the Perler Beads you can use as is, or we also love baking on a baking sheet (try and use parchment paper) and bake at 400 degrees for 3 minutes to flatten out the Perler Beads and make them a little more interesting - for a pattern of both longer and shorter beads.

Have fun and make whatever patterns you want! We also love that you can style in so many ways. Here is Ava having fun with her new wear it 4 ways jewelry!
